Martinů's Strings-  Prague Chamber orchestra (12 members)

23rd edition of the festival celebrating works of the world known Czech composer of modern classic music - Bohuslav Martinů. 

Program:

Jiří Teml (*1935): Double Concerto for flute, piano, and strings
Bohuslav Martinů (1890–1959): Concerto for flute, violin, and orchestra, H 252 (arr. by Jaroslav Šonský)
Bohuslav Martinů: The Feast for flute and string orchestra, H 2
Josef Suk (1874–1935): Serenade in E-flat major for strings op. 6

Performing: 

Martinů's Strings Prague  - The twelve-stringed ensemble follows the tradition of Czech String Culture, which has always characterized, apart from traditional musicality, by great vocals and Slavonic sound. Martinů Strings Prague consists of excellent younger middle-aged players with experience gained both on the solo track and in the best Czech orchestras and chamber ensembles. The founder and artistic director of the ensemble is the violinist Jaroslav Šonský, experienced solo and chamber musician.
