The church of Our Lady Victorious is world-famous for its holding of the Prague Infant Jesus

The early Baroque shrine originally dedicated to St. Trinity was built by the Luterans in 1613. After 1620, the church was handed over to the order of Carmelites who adjusted the church with participation of leading artists of the time. The exceptionally well preserved interior is a worthy dwelling place for the celebrated statue of Infant Jesus of Prague.

The Infant Jesus of Prague is a small wax statue of Spanish origin which was granted to the order of Carmelitans in 1628 by a noble lady Polyxena of Lobkowicz. Miraculous healing powers have been attributed to this statue as well as its ability to protect Prague.
