In the fight against the black cloud of futility, it is the future that gives strength to the famous painter. At the end of the 1930s, it is harder and harder to believe that an ordinary pencil and brush can succeed in the fight against the main tanks, that ideals can counter ideologies. Will our young man stand up in the face of such darkness? And the mysterious girl who seems to have stepped out of Mucha’s iconic posters, with whom the young man falls in love and for whom he travels halfway around the world, is she real, is she a mirage, or… is she not Art Nouveau itself?
“I Art Nouveau” is a lavish visual experience from the creators of the world-successful show Vivaldianno, led by Michal Dvořák, a member of the band Lucie. It’s a show full of explosions of colour and animated Mucha masterpieces. It is a live concert of top instrumentalists, an inventive dance performance full of equilibristic acrobatics. It’s a spectacular 3D projection full of unique technologies. The surprising combination of all these means of expression creates one stunning whole, framed by the captivating voice of the narrator Jiří Dvořák (in the English version thanks to the Cinewav app – Pierce Brosnan).
