He has impressive performance and recording credits with both Australian and international artists. Nick has performed at major festivals and concerts in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Europe, China and the USA. Nick has been a featured artist on over 100 albums and has been nominated for numerous ARIA awards. He is the 2012 recipient of the Australian Jazz “Bell Award” for Best Australian Contemporary Jazz Album and the 2016 Australian Jazz “Bell Award” for Best Australian Small Ensemble. He is also the recipient of the 2012 APRA Art Music State Award, the award being for Excellence in Jazz. He has performed at many major jazz festivals, both in Australia and internationally.
Nick has performed and/or recorded with many important jazz artists, such as Mark Murphy, Petra Haden, Billy Harper, Malcolm Pinsen, Nat Adderley, Louie Bellson, Joe Williams, Buddy de Franco, Kenny Kirkland, Gerry Bergonzi, Junior Cook, , Buddy Greco, Claire Martin, Bobby Shew, Pete Christlieb, Valeri Ponamarev, Bob Gullotti, Mickey Tucker, Olavi Olouhvira, Jari Perkiomaki, Andrea Keller, Paul Grabowsky and many others.
Since 2020 Nick has been dividing his time between Melbourne, Australia and Prague. In Prague Nick has forged a strong musical connection with leading European guitarist Libor Smolda and brilliant American drummer (based in Prague), Jesse Simpson.
