Concert at the church where Mozart played the organ

Artistic exaggeration can sometimes go pear-shaped. It's when Pushkin, in his drama Mozart and Salieri, has Salieri murder his friend Mozart out of jealousy. Then the American playwright Peter Shaffer and then the Czech director Miloš Forman seize on it and the suggestive Amadeus is born. But where is the truth? The truth is that Antonio Salieri even taught Mozart's son Franz Xaver, as well as Franz Schubert. It is most appropriate to be aware of such facts in May 2025, on the 200th anniversary of the death of the famous Viennese Italian.

The Prague Symphony Orchestra plays with its leading players under the direction of the young conductor Jiří Habart.

Program:

  • Franz Schubert
Overture for Strings in C minor
  • Antonio Salieri
Concerto for Flute, Oboe and Orchestra
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
    Symphony No. 36 in C major K 425 "Linz"

Performing:

Hana Knauerová - flute
Jurij Likin - oboe
