Shostakovich, Beethoven or Korngold can be heard in the Smetana Hall

It's hard to believe it. Violinist Daniel Lozakovich is just 24 years old, but he's done it all! He signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon at the age of 15. Ex-Baron Rothschild and Le Reynier. In short, the prodigy violinist from Sweden is in Prague for the first time. Who is really not in Prague for the first time is Tomáš Netopil. And certainly not for the last time, as he will become the new chief conductor of the Prague Symphony Orchestra from the 2025/2026 season. For the April 2025 concerts he has fittingly chosen Shostakovich's Fifth. For this year marks the 50th anniversary of the great symphonist's passing.
