The December concert takes place on the occasion of the exhibition École de Paris: Artists from Bohemia and Interwar Paris,
which will grace the National Gallery Prague - Wallenstein Riding School from November 2024 to March 2025.
If one says "Czech artists in interwar France", the names František Kupka and Toyen come to mind. If the same is said to an art-loving Parisian of the 1920s, the names Georges Kars or Othon Coubine come to mind first and foremost. Although it doesn't look like it at first sight, they are also Czech natives. Just as with Bohuslav Martinů or Vítězslava Kapralová.
Program:
- Bohuslav Martinů
Sonata for Violoncello and Piano No. 3
Variations on a Theme of Rossini
- Vítězslava Kaprálová
April Preludes
Performing:
Vilém Vlček - cello
Marek Kozák - piano
