One of the largest and most visited Prague music clubs with a rich history in the centre of Prague
Lucerna Music Bar is located in the very centre of Prague, near Wenceslas Square, and is one of the most popular music clubs in the city. The Lucerna Palace built in 1929 by Václav Havel, the ex-president's grandfather.
The space of today´s music bar was used as a theatre and cabaret, later a dance club mostly with jazz on the program.
In 1990's, the bar was turned into a music club gaining its popularity among both Czechs and foreigners by presenting such musicians as Maceo Parker, Candy Dulfer, Jungle Funk, Hiram Bullock, Laco Deczi, John Scofield, Bo Diddley, Robben Ford Band, The Holmes Brothers, Pat Metheny Group, Living Color, Slade among others.
