Sister restaurant of "Café Slávia", decorated in art-deco style and located just a minute away from the National Theatre, at the Palace Lažanských, where the famous Czech composer Bedřich Smetana also lived. Since 1884, Café Slavia (just next to the Restaurant Parnas) has also served (and still does) as an intellectual society meeting place (i.e the Nobel prize winner Jaroslav Seifert, the Czech artist Jan Zrzavý, etc). During the communist regime, the café played a major role as a meeting place of the Czech dissidents (i.e the first Czech prezident, Václav Havel, etc).
Both Czech and international cuisine await you. The restaurant opens at midday and closes at midnight and in the evening, there is a live piano performance. Just imagine the setting...you are in Prague, right in the historical centre, looking at the Vltava river, close to the Charles Bridge, watching people passing by in the street, enjoying the best meal and wine...It is truly special place to go to!
