Bedřich Smetana belongs to the best and most renowned Czech composers of classical music. The museum dedicated to his life and work is located in a beautiful neo-Renaissance building next to the Charles Bridge. See a remarkable collection of his relics and documents originating from the composer´s estate including his personal piano.
Details:
The building of the former Old Town Waterworks on the bank of Vltava river houses a permanent exhibition documenting not only Smetana´s life and work, but also his era and dissemination and reception of his works. This exhibition is complemented by short-term thematic exhibitions and occassional concerts are held here.
