Das Rudolfinum ist das berühmteste Konzertgebäude in Prag und Sitz der Tschechischen Philharmonie. Das elegante Neorenaissance-Gebäude wurde zwischen 1876 und 1884 von der Tschechischen Sparkasse (Česká Spořitelna) anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums ihrer Gründung errichtet.
Das Gebäude wurde als Mehrzweck-Kulturzentrum mit einem Konzertsaal und Ausstellungssälen konzipiert. Das Gebäude stand unter der Schirmherrschaft des habsburgischen Thronfolgers Erzherzog Rudolf, nach dem es auch benannt wurde. Zwischen 1919 und 1941 diente das Gebäude vorübergehend als Sitzungssaal des tschechischen Parlaments.
In dem Hauptsaal, der nach dem berühmten tschechischen Komponisten Antonín Dvořák bennant wurde, finden atemberaubende Konzerte klassischer Musik und Jazzkonzerte statt.
Im Jahre 1896 dirigierte Antonín Dvořák in diesem Gebäude die Tschechische Philharmonie bei der Aufführung seiner Symphonie Nr. 9 "Aus der Neuen Welt". So begann die Geschichte der Tschechischen Philharmonie, des Rudolfinums und des Dvořák-Saals...

Při nákupu nebyl vidět nákres sálu a míst, pouze jejich výčet. Bylo by lepší, kdyby bylo na výběr z plánku. :) Jinak byl koncert úžasný

Very comfortable and elegant venue with welcoming staff. With the stairway entrance I wonder how accessible this venue is, especially to older and disabled people—I did not see many older people there.
