The Czech Philharmonic closes the season in the iconic setting of Hradčany Square by the Prague Castle

In accordance with tradition, the Czech Philharmonic will end their season in a relaxed atmosphere in the open air on Hradčany Square. The encounter with classical music is held in honour of the Czech Philharmonic’s late chief conductor Jiří Bělohlávek, and special guests will be there as well. Come to a concert where shorts and flipflops are welcome!

Hradcany Square

The picturesque square surrounded by Baroque palaces is one of the main routes towards Prague Castle

Among the most notable buildings are the Schwarzenberg Palace and the Sternberg Palace, both part of the National Gallery (collections of Baroque and Renaissance art). The Archiepiscopal Palace and the Tuscan Palace, both works of the 17th century French architect Jean-Baptiste Mathey, are distinguished by their ornate facades. On Hradčany Square, you will also find the Carmelite Convent, which is sometimes open to the public, and whose garden offers an incomparable view of Prague.

  tram - Pohořelec stop (then descent approx. 300 m towards the Prague Castle)
  tram - Malostranská stop
  (from Malostranská tram stop walk up the narrow staircase to the Prague castle through the back entrance, walk through the Prague Castle area and come out of the main entrance to the Castle.)
