A one-of-a-kind roots group harking back to traditional turn-of-the-century Delta Blues and 60’s - 70’s electric Blues Rock

The band deliver a brand of Blues which is entirely their own. The dynamic 4-piece are currently playing upbeat blues inspired originals at venues and festivals across Scotland- delivering deeply compelling Blues, charged with intense sincerity and relentless energy. The band released their first Ep "Coal In The Fire," in March 2020 and released two new blues singles in November 2021 - "Street Rolling Man" & "Come Back Around." Blue Milk are modern bluesmen. Channelling the raw spirit of blues in its most authentic form, whilst simultaneously bringing a driven twist to the genre.

Shortly after releasing their first singles, Blue Milk supported Grammy Winner Fantastic Negrito at King Tuts. They then went on to support Grammy Winner Christone "Kingfish" Ingram at St Lukes in Glasgow in January 2022 as part of Celtic Connections. When Christone returned to Scotland later in 2022, Blue Milk supported him again at Edinburgh Queens Halls. Both to sell out crowds. Blue Milk played Eden Festival 2021/22 & 2023 - closing Rabbies Tavern on the Thursday night and playing on the main stage.  They played York Blues Festival in Summer 2022 and supported Blind Boy Paxton at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival that year too - and again recently - in Feb 2023 - headlining the “Blues afternoon” for Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Fest.  In 2023 they supported Alice Armstrong at Edinburgh Blues Club in Feb and played their new singles at Sofar Sounds in the Summer. They have another Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival gig at the end of October supporting highly acclaimed blues player Errol Linton.
