A must-see in Prague: visit a morning final rehearsal of the Czech Philharmonic in splendid Dvořák Hall in Rudolfinum

Music by Richard Wagner is Buddhistic, and music by Gustav Mahler is life itself. At least that is what we are told by the Czech Philharmonic’s chief conductor Semyon Bychkov, who has been involved with both composers throughout his career. And the Italian Symphony by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy is beautiful, plain and simple.

Program:

  • Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90 “Italian”
  • Gustav Mahler
    Kindertotenlieder
  • Richard Wagner
    Tannhäuser, overture to the opera

* Since this is a rehearsal, the program is subject to change.

Performing:

Fleur Barron - mezzo-soprano

Semyon Bychkov - conductor
Czech Philharmonic

Important:

  • Dress code: smart casual
  • 20 min. intermission
  • Please note that the price of the ticket includes a service fee of 10%
