Marta Kloučková Quintet

Prague based multi-genre singer and songwriter, finalist of the international competition for jazz singers “Voicingers 2017” and semifinalist of “Riga Jazz Stage 2018”. She is a member of a striking vocal sextet SKETY, collaborates with ensembles and musicians across genres. Marta is a new voice of Czech Radio Vltava.

She is a leader of Marta Kloučková Quintet, where she cooperates with top musicians of the Czech jazz scene (David Dorůžka, Vít Křišťan, Jaromír Honzák, Marek Urbánek). With this band Marta recorded a highly acclaimed debut album Loving Season (released in November 2018 on Hevhetia label) which gained praise from critics and placed second in the “Czech Jazz Harvest 2018” critic’s poll, and the second original album named Stopa snu (Hevhetia, 2022). They will present the songs from these two albums together to the audience at The Loop Jazz Club in Prague.

Originally a mobile jazz club, nowadays in the building of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra

After three years at the Občanská plovárna (by the Vltava river in the city centre) where it hosted prominent local & international jazz stars as part of the PRAGUE PROMS festival, the mobile jazz club has moved house to the Czech National Symphony Orchestra studios in Hostivař.

The studios were set up in 2002 when the common space of the waterworks took on a new life as the Studio Gallery. The bottom part of the building has waited patiently until 2019 for a cinema space which has managed to tastefully preserve its 1980‘s décor.

During the spring of 2019, the space transformed into a stylish jazz club boasting outstanding acoustics and oozing atmosphere. The direct linking up to production will make it possible to record concerts live, while a wide array of drinks will be available at its stylish bar decorated in end of the 20^th century optimistic hues.
