The Bad Week (SRB)
The Bad Week proves that blues is not only about the past, but also a powerful and uncompromising statement of the present.
Thanks to their convincing victory at Blues Aperitiv 2024, where they also received the Audience Award, The Bad Week became the first band from Serbia ever selected to perform at the prestigious Blues Alive Festival. The trio hails from Novi Sad, a city known for its vibrant street culture, which strongly shapes their musical expression — raw, authentic, and charged with unfiltered energy.
Formed in 2020 as a street trio, The Bad Week has carried this intense, direct approach from the streets to club and festival stages with remarkable ease. Their music is rooted in American country blues, enriched with original songwriting and distinctive elements of jazz and folk, while maintaining the earthy grit and core spirit of the blues tradition. Their debut album, So It Was (2022), attracted significant attention on the regional blues scene, followed by It Is How It Is (2024), which confirms the band’s growing compositional maturity and their willingness to explore new directions within the blues framework.
