A vibrant and energetic ensemble recognised for its strong artistic identity brings a remarkable level of musicianship
Lačhe Manušha (translated as “good people”) specializes in Romano jazz – a distinctive style that blends jazz tradition with Romani musical heritage and contemporary influences. At the heart of the project stands Tibor Žida, guitarist, vocalist, and composer, who skillfully merges jazz aesthetics with elements of Romani melody and rhythm. His musical expression is marked by authenticity, sincerity, and technical assurance, all of which shape the ensemble’s characteristic sound.
The instrumental section is formed by highly respected musicians of the Czech and Slovak jazz scene: Jan Fečo (double bass), a prominent figure of the younger generation of jazz bassists, known for his collaborations with leading Czech artists and appreciated for his strong groove and musicality; Slovak jazz pianist Jakub Tököly, active in an international context and sought after for his virtuosity, refined expression, and ability to naturally connect modern jazz vocabulary with elements of Central European musical tradition;and Dušan Černák (drums), a renowned drummer celebrated for his technical precision, dynamic balance, and stylistic versatility, who collaborates with significant projects both at home and abroad. The result of their collective work is an ensemble offering music of high artistic value that remains accessible and emotionally engaging.
