Classical music concerts in Rudolfinum are truly an unforgettable experience
Rudolfinum is the most famous concert building in Prague and the seat of the Czech Philharmonic. Its two concert halls stage the most prominent concerts such as the Prague Spring Festival. The elegant Neo-Renaissance building of Rudolfinum was built between 1876-1884 by Česká Spořitelna (Czech Savings Bank) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
The bulding was conceived as a multipurpose cultural center with a concert hall and exhibition halls. The building was taken under the patronage of the heir of the Habsburg throne, the archduke Rudolph after whom the building was named. Between 1919 and 1941 Rudolfinum served temporarily as an assembly hall of Czech Parliament.
Since then it has functioned as a concert hall, exhibition space, and a seat of the Czech Philharmonic. The intimate Suk Hall with excellent acoustics hosts chamber classical concerts, such as string quartets or piano recitals. Festive atmosphere and great concerts held in Rudolfinum will not let you forget this exceptional space.

First class performance by excellent musicians. The choice of music was perfect and very moving emotionally. The final piece, Ravel’s Bolero is one of my favourites. It brought tears to my eyes. Definitely recommend

This event was an absolute delight! The performances were truly world-class, featuring a "greatest hits" program of legendary composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Beethoven. We were particularly impressed by the skill and artistry of the musicians—it’s no wonder Prague is renowned as a hub for creating orchestral film scores. Experiencing the music up close was magical, and the inclusion of a mezzo-soprano and a special violin soloist added an extra layer of brilliance to the evening. This event exceeded all expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates exceptional classical music performances!

An excellent, high quality performance and good value for money.

The program / selections were thoughtfully selected and presented excellently. The pace of the overall concert was very good, and alternating between the vocal pieces and violin soloist gave it nice variation. I understand that some music is selected for popular appeal so pieces like Bolero are included; and while not my favourite, the selection was performed very well. The Smetana was a nice surprise, as I was unfamiliar with the piece. I would recommend this event, and wouldn't hesitate to attend again myself.

Dobře vybrané skladby.

The chamber orchestra was superb! They filled the room with an incredible sound. And the singer also had a lovely voice. All very professional! The only thing to criticize is that the songs with the singer felt a bit rushed since the lady came on stage for just one song, left again to appear again for another song after a while. In total she sang three songs if i remember correctly. I guess I would have preferred to listen to her singing in one go.
