LOVETRAIN2020: a thrilling dance tribute to the 1980s
The Israeli choreographer Emanuel Gat based in France combines elements that have accompanied his work for two decades since founding his own company, Emanuel Gat Dance. Improvisation, musicality, visual aesthetics, storytelling and, last but not least, humanity - enhanced by the fact that the work was created during a time of pandemic.
After the success of his show SUNNY, Gat brings to Prague a new performance, LOVETRAIN2020.
Fourteen dancers in imposing costumes in an intimate atmosphere of smoke, light and shadow appear like figures from baroque paintings. But the infectious 80s soundtrack by British pop duo Tears For Fears, which drives the whole performance, brings them to life and from their solos and group interactions we understand people, interpersonal relationships and contemporary society a little better again.
