The College Auditorium belongs to the back part of St. Nicholas Church at the Lesser Square

Former Baroque Jesuit College was built before 1674 on the spot of Romanesque St. Wenceslas rotunda, Gothic church St. Nicholas Church (The Baroque church was built instead of the Gothic one after the College was formed), and former St. Wenceslas Church (which became part of the College), Lesser Town school, and other twelve buildings.

After the College shut down, it was replaced with offices and storage. After 1918, the Ministry of Finance had its headquarters here, and since the 1960s, it has been the seat of the Charles University Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The hall where concerts (and graduation events, plus many others) take place is decorated with the ceiling paintings done by Josef Kramolin in 1771, depicting Biblical motifs as well as representatives of the Jesuit College.
